ABOUT US
What is the Hong Kong GGC?
Do you want to join forces with people from other schools to make a difference? Do you want to be part of a Hong Kong wide community to create impact?
The HK GGC Council’s mission is to unite schools across Hong Kong in a collaborative effort to
advocate for and promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering a culture of
sustainability, social responsibility, and global citizenship among students. Through the
establishment of council chapters in different schools, the HK GGC Council aims to create a
network that empowers students to take action, drive positive change in their communities, and
contribute towards achieving the SDGs locally and globally.
The HK GGC originates from CDNIS, where they have successfully organized various impactful events, such as Club-A-Like and the HK SDG Summit, which is Hong Kong's largest youth-led sustainability summit.
TAKING ACTION
HK GGC Goals
1. Youth changemakers will be able to be equipped with the necessary tools and resources needed to navigate challenges, inspire collaboration between students with similar passions, and facilitate positive change within their communities.
2. To build a resilient and sustainable system by establishing the network between chapters of the HK GGC that ensures long-term impact towards the SDGs in HK GGC.
3. Establish effective information-sharing of opportunities available to students to drive a positive change through marketing opportunities from our network (e.g. social media).
