TAKING ACTION
Starting a
GGC initiative requires dedication. Find out how you can start a club.
Starting a GGC Club involves establishing a group or organization dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental initiatives within a campus or educational institution. Below you can find out the steps of how you can start a GGC Club.
Have an IDEA or 1 PASSION
Find out, are any current clubs or initiatives working towards
this?
Yes- Great! Join that club and get involved!
No- Research potential solutions
Research and frame
your idea! Identify
the SDG and specific
targets
Find a supervisor
who is interested in supporting you!
Recruit some
passionate students
to join your cause!
Run a Student Led
Initiative- define what this is and link it to your campaign proposal
If approved, become a Probationary GGC for 2 years. Each year reporting back to the GGC Council about your impact!
If it's not approved you will receive constructive feedback and support
from the GGC Council to reassess your proposal or you can join another club!
Report to the GGC Council at the end of each year...
On your final year as a
probationary club, you will pitch to become a fully registered GGC!
If successful and you want to keep working towards this goal, complete a Club Application form.
This will be reviewed by the GGC Council and you will be asked to complete a 30 minute presentation, Q&A and feedback on your concept to
